Stratford/Perth Shelterlink is an organization that provides shelter, basic needs, support, community aid and advocacy services for Perth County youth ages 16-24 who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Stratford/Perth Shelterlink provides a safe space both physically and through our staff within the community for youth in need. Stratford/Perth Shelterlink works to create community awareness and advocacy for vulnerable youth experiencing or at risk of homelessness throughout PerthCounty.

Job Description

Stratford/Perth Shelterlink is governed by a Board of Directors. Every effort is made to seek Directors that bring various perspectives from all sectors of our community including families, education, student, medical/health, business, financial, city and rural life, law and social services. As a governance board, Stratford/Perth Shelterlink’s Board of Directors develops policies and strategic direction for the agency. The Board of Directors advocates for the organization, assists with fundraising events and bring their expertise to support the Executive Director guide staff in providing the best possible services for youth who are homelessness or at risk of homelessness.
Since Stratford/Perth Shelterlink serves all of Perth County, we attempt to have representation from all corners of Perth County. The term of office is three years and includes involvement on one committee in addition to the ten (10) regular Board meetings held during the year.
